Launchpad Pro will also work as a standard MIDI controller. We recommend that you update to the latest version as previous versions of Ableton Live do not include the Launchpad Pro integration. If you already have Ableton Live it must be version 9 or greater to work with Launchpad Pro. This way I can mess up everything and go back to dry fx with the press of a button and in sync if needed. Two MIDI sockets (3.5mm jack sockets with MIDI din break-out cables) Select favorite launch mode, map the clip (s) to a button on the Launchcontrol and select the appropriate pickup mode in the settings so you don’t have jumps in values when you move the faders/knobs again. You should be able to see the name of the Key in the Key Learn section. It provides 16 buttons, 24 knobs and eight faders, all of which integrate seamlessly with Live to give you total hands-on control. 64 RGB backlit velocity and pressure sensitive button grid Hold the USER button down and then one of the 8 numbered buttons to select a User template (from 1 to 8) Press or move a button or a knob. Launch Control XL is the ultimate controller for Ableton Live.It doesn't matter which software you are using: plug it straight into Logic Pro, for example, and play it like a keyboard connect the MIDI ports to your Bass Station II and play riffs on your grid. You can use the grid to play any of your music software and external hardware too - with Standalone Mode. The new RGB pads light up to match the colour of your clips in Ableton Live's session view, so you can see at a glance which clips are playing. The Launch Control has tri-coloured buttons (each can emit red, yellow, or green). Launchpad Pro is an instrument designed for live performance. Enhanced with RGB LED feedback, and velocity and pressure-sensitive pads, Launchpad Pro brings limitless expression and creativity to your music. We've given our iconic Launchpad a total overhaul. Not sure but you could probably do something with MidiBridge/Midiflow that looks for the input coming from the LaunchControl and then sends back to it the feedback that would ideally come from gadget.Launchpad Pro is the simplest and best way to create dynamic, expressive performances in Ableton Live, or any music software. You can get a template from the Launch Control: or create a new one from scratch - this new template is the default User template that comes on the unit. If this is the case then I suppose I'm out of luck because Gadget does not output MIDI, correct? My assumption is that some sort of MIDI output is required back to the LaunchControl to tell it to illuminate the LEDs. If they work like the Launchpad then the software needs to send feedback to the controller.this would seem to be the case as you can control the LED color of the rotaries from within the template editor but not the pads. The functions do work just to light to indicate on/off. Is there supposed to be some sort of feedback message sent from Gadget to tell the buttons to illuminate? Otherwise it's not obvious if the function is triggered or not. FACTORY TEMPLATE 1 : EFFECT CONTROLS F + 1 Hold FACTORY button down and then press the 1st Pad to select the Factory Template 1. I wanted to use 16 pads at the bottom as toggle switches which works fine using editor software but there doesn't appear to be a way to illuminate the led on the pads when they are pressed. F + PAD 1 to PAD 8 Select Factory Templates 1 to 8 U + PAD 1 to PAD 8 Select User Templates 1 to 8 Only Factory Templates are pre-assigned to VirtualDJ actions. I just received my Novation Launch Control XL and I'm setting it up to work as a standard midi controller with Gadget.
